RCW-Wrestling updated their website with new superstar bios, and Hernandez’ is listed under the “Legends” category.

Some fans know him as “The Tex-Mex T-Rex,” others as “The Super-Mex,” or just simply as “Hotstuff.” Regardless, words cannot express how much Hernandez has meant to River City Wrestling and his level of commitment to the fans and to the wrestling business. The current TNA star and multiple TNA Tag Team Champion was originally seen in the RCW ring in December 2003 as part of the first “Texas Explosion” event as he teamed with Pete Lothario to take on All Japan’s Great Muta & Arashi.

When RCW went full-time in August 2005, Hernandez returned and won the RCW Championship on Dec. 17, 2005 by defeating The Great Kazushi Miyamoto in a Tables Match. Hernandez would hold the title for nearly a year. That year included battling Miyamoto and Mr. Yebisu’s clan (which included The Texas Treats, Fast Eddie & Spiro). On May 7, 2006, Hernandez teamed with LAX members Homicide & Konnan in a six-man match against Team IPS (Chris Marval, Spiro, & Fast Eddie). Shortly after this event, Hernandez went from being the most loved RCW star to the most hated as Hernandez turned his back on Ikaika and The Nerdy Boys. On July 1, 2006, Hernandez wrestled the popular “One Man” Mike Dell. With help from Ikaika, Dell scored the pinfall and appeared to become the new RCW Champion. Brandon Oliver, however, reversed the decision and eventually became the manager of Hernandez and Team MEX which also included Sicodelico Jr. and The Texas Treats. Other battles that year included a match with Masada.

In a 10-minute time limit tag title rematch, new TNA tag team champions Hernandez and Matt Morgan took on The Bristish Invasion. Supermex and the Blueprint get the win after Brutus Magnus hits Doug Williams with Rob Terry’s briefcase.

TNA World Tag team Titles: Matt Morgan/Hernandez vs. British Invasion

“The Blueprint” Matt Morgan and Hernandez became the NEW TNA World Tag Team Champions by defeating The British Invasion! After the action broke down among all the superstars, Matt Morgan was able to hit his Carbon Footprint finisher on Brutus Magnus to get the win and the championship! After the bout, the new titleholders celebrated the huge win!

Congratulations to Hernandez and Matt!

I found this video on TNA’s YouTube; it’s Part 6 from last night’s Impact. I’m not exactly sure where Hernandez’ match starts though, as I haven’t had the chance to download the video yet.

Tonight, Hernandez & Matt Morgan took on Beer Money, Inc. The match was interrupted by Rob Terry who came out and attacked Hernandez. The referee called for the bell, thus ending the match in a no-contest.
